The final Forward Together! capital campaign project focuses on providing shelter locally to our neighbors. In fall 2014, we contributed $35,000 towards the building costs of a 4 bedroom town home in Sellersville, which will become the home to a family from Ghana with two adults and four children (ages 8,7, and 4 year old twins). They are currently living in a 2 bedroom apartment, and the father works at a local hospital. As a way to further our engagement with this project, DPC members volunteered their time this fall to help with the building of the home, which should be completed in the spring. Habitat for Humanity was founded at Doylestown Presbyterian Church 25 years ago, and this is a great opportunity for us to celebrate this long-standing relationship.
