Family Ministries Family Ministry

Mission Statement: “Family Ministry is called to strengthen and empower families to nurture children as they navigate their faith journey and grow their relationship with God.”

Vision Statement:  We hope to create and influence environments where each family member can experience the abundant life that comes from pursuing Jesus Christ. 

Informal Bible Study - Wednesdays beginning September 13

Family Ministries is offering an informal Bible study / devotional time for caregivers during choir practice on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15. We will meet in the nursery, so please feel free to bring younger children with you. Dinner for 8 - Saturday, October 21

What: This is a fellowship opportunity to meet new people by gathering together and sharing a meal.

When:  Saturday, October 21, 2017 ... 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm OR 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

How does it work:  We will offer sign-ups online beginning Sunday, September 17, and also on the bridge during Sacred Grounds on Sunday, September 17, 24, and October 1.  You are able to choose from the following options:

  • Willing to host at your home?
  • With kids or no kids?
  • Time Preference

After the completion of sign-ups, Family Ministry will organize the parties of 8.  Please consider joining us in this new fellowship opportunity! You may sign up on line here. Family Ministries Gifts of the Heart

We will be putting together School Kits for children affected by the devastating hurricanes as one of the activities during the Advent Workshop on Sunday, December 3.  Prior to the Advent Workshop, we will be collecting the contents for the kits.  Look for donation boxes at the Church School desk, Narthex, and in the Church Office.  We will collect the following items during the month of November:

  • blunt scissors (rounded tip)
  • 70-count spiral notebooks or tape-bound pads of 8" x 10 1/2" ruled paper or pads with 200-210 sheets of ruled paper. Do not include filler paper.
  • 30-centimeter rulers (12")
  • hand-held pencil sharpeners
  • new pencils with erasers
  • large eraser
  • boxes of 24 crayons
