In today's world, we have lost the necessary rhythm of life, the balance between work and rest. Constantly striving, we feel exhausted and deprived in the midst of great abundance. In this study we will see and learn how to create a special time of rest, delight, and renewal—a refuge for our souls.

strengthening_the_soulGROUP 6 - Wednesdays, 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Subject: Strengthening the Soul of Your Leadership by Ruth Barton
Leader: Bill Grun
Location: DPC (AH-209)
For: Anyone

Note: June 12 to July 17

This is a book about your soul, my soul and though the emphasis is on leadership it really deals with our being willing to pause in our lives and listen to our calling, whether it be as a seeker or as one who is in the position of helping others to find God. The life and struggles of Moses are compared with the journey of each of us. A beautiful comparison.

crazy_loveGROUP 7 - Wednesdays, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Note: Begins June 12

Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible solutions? God is calling you to be in a relationship with Himself. The answer to religious complacency isn't working harder to abide by a list of do's and don'ts – the answer is finding a new way to love God, others and yourself. Once you encounter God's love, as Frances describes it, you'll never be the same.

The author admits that she, like most women, has had experiences where others bump into her happy and she comes emotionally unglued. We stuff, we explode, or we react somewhere in between. Join us to look at what we do with raw emotions and learn if it is possible to make emotions work for us instead of against us.

Before this journey, he could not reconcile his knowledge of neuroscience with any belief in heaven, God, or the soul. Today, Alexander is a doctor who believes that true health can be achieved only when we realize that God and the soul are real and that death is not the end of personal existence but only a transition.
