Tidings Tidbits – Summer 2023
Wednesday Club – Grades 2 through 6
The big news this summer is that Club 456 is now called Wednesday Club!
So why the change? Yes, we’ve always met on Wednesday evenings, but now we welcome kids from grades 2 and 3 as well. And Club 23456 seemed like a mouthful! We are thrilled to officially kick off Wednesday Club in September but in the meantime we’ve got some fun non-Wednesday summer events scheduled starting with an awesome Ice Cream Social here at DPC on June 25 at 5 pm. See the schedule to the left for what comes next!
Children’s Worship Time – ages 41/2 to exiting 3rd graders during the summer
The theme for the summer is celebrating God’s creation while enjoying the outdoors. Children will be able to read bible stories focusing on water like parting of the Red Sea or Jesus calms the storm, food and plant stories like provision of manna in the wilderness and the parable of the sower, and animal stories like Jonah and the big fish or the parable of the Last sheep. Each time we will engage with the stories creatively, reflect on questions that use our imaginations, and work on a coloring project! God’s creation is full of life and color!
Vacation Bible School is right around the corner – July 10-13!
Calling all kids and volunteers! Are you ready for the best VBS ever?! We gather July 10-13 from 9 am to noon. VBS is open to all 4-year olds (potty-trained) through entering sixth grade. It’s going to be a STELLAR week and an out-of-this-world experience!

DPC Youth – Grades 7 – 12
As DPC’s youth ministry prepares to welcome our new Youth Director Jonah Davis we look ahead to some fun opportunities to strengthen friendships and create new ones this summer! The All-Church Phillies Game outing is sold out but all are welcome to the Benson Home on July 2 for a BBQ!
