Advent Mission Market and Giving Tree

This year’s Giving Tree will have gift tags on it – available on the bridge on November 17 and November 24 – for individuals in our community who are benefitting from services from our mission partners:

Bucks County Housing Group – gifts for children whose families are living in transitional housing after being homeless.

Lenape Valley Foundation – gifts for individuals who are in residence at the Foundation.

Life Abundant – gifts for children whose parent(s) is/are incarcerated in Bucks County.

RJ Leonard Foundation – gifts for children who have aged out of foster care and are working towards self-sufficiency.

Code Blue (CSSH) (tags available December 1 and due back later during Advent) – gift cards for community members who are homeless.

Hunting Park Christian Academy (tags available December 1 and due back later during Advent) – gifts for children in need during this season.

Please returned unwrapped items that are clearly marked with the code and name provided (or with the gift tag taped to the item) to the Andrews Hall Lobby no later than December 1. CLICK HERE to browse the gifts online and select a tag!

Advent Mission Market – The Mission Market will be in person in the Celtic Cross Room on Sundays November 17, November 24, and December 1. The following organizations will be represented this year:


Americans for Native Americans – One of ANA’s programs is working with schools on the Navajo Reservation. This year you will be able to purchase a book that will be sent to the schools on the Reservation. Additionally, there will be Christmas ornaments to purchase. BARC Developmental Services – BARC serves and advocates for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.  Christmas cards will be available.  To learn more, visit https://barcprograms.org


Philly Fair Trade Roasters – Small batch coffee and chocolate that is 100% Fair Trade and organic.  This business is local (Reinholds, PA) and support the local economy. Philly Fair Trade Roasters is a certified B-Corp.  To learn more, visit https://phillyfairtrade.com


Stroopies – Provides meaningful employment to resettled refugee women locally in Lancaster, PA. Stroopies are Dutch stroopwafels, a pressed cookie with caramel inside.  A variety of gift packs will be available, each containing 6 cookies.  To learn more, visit https://stroopies.com


Prosperity Candle – Enables refugee women coming from various counties to gain employment at a living wage and grow their artisan skills.  These candles are sustainable made and are B-Corp certified.  This social enterprise is located in Western Massachusetts. To learn more, visit https://prosperitycandle.com


Greyston Bakery – Located in Yonkers, NY, Greyston bakes delicious brownies and creates meaningful job opportunities for those who have experienced barriers to employment.  Bakers get ongoing training and development to enrich their work experience.  Greyston Bakery is a certified B-Corp.  To learn more, visit https://shop.greyston.org


Beelove – Located in Chicago, IL, Beelove products contain 100% raw urban honey. These products are made in hope and power – training and employing people returning from incarceration and connecting them to opportunities and jobs that are truly transformative. Presbyterian Education Board (PEB) – The focus of PEB is to educate children (particularly girls) in Pakistan in an environment that values self-discipline, integrity, tolerance, respect for others, fairness, and justice. Pearl S. Buck Foundation – Purchase Christmas ornaments at the Mission Market to benefit orphanages in Vietnam through the Pearl S. Buck Foundation. To learn more: www.pearlsbuck.org


Coalition to Support and Shelter the Homeless (CSSH/Code Blue) – In preparation for the upcoming Code Blue season, we are asking congregants to purchase gift cards available on the Giving Tree. The Mission Market will provide an opportunity to learn how you can be involved during the forthcoming months and sign up to help when the shelter is at DPC in February. To learn more, visit https://co2ssh.org.
