An Update from the Session – April 12, 2023

Dear Friends:

At its March meeting, the Session approved the formation of the Transitional Pastor Search Committee. The Search Committee includes: Tanner Benson, Dick Cornelius, Jenny Danzis, Jeff Finley, Sue Haldeman, Nancy Nelson, and Dennis Parenti. This group is chaired by Elder Jenny Danzis and will start the process of finding an Interim/Transitional Pastor to begin in September 2023. 

In other news related to our time of transition, the Mission Study Task Group is delighted and gratified by the congregation’s engagement in the recently conducted survey and listening sessions. The MSTG thanks all who shared their opinions, concerns and insights. The Task Group is busy compiling data and developing the Mission Study Report that will be presented to Session and then to the Presbytery for approval. It is anticipated that the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) can be formed once the Mission Study is approved.
