WEDNESDAY NIGHT CLUB 456, Grades 4-6, 5:30-7:15 PM, Andrews Hall
Program year begins September 11
Who? Club 456 is for all current 4th, 5th & 6th graders. Friends of 456’ers are always welcome and new members can join anytime! We also love our Adult and Teen volunteers, and there are always many opportunities to help!
What? Our motto is food, fun, fellowship and faith! After a quick ice breaker, we jump into short lessons—MINIstries—that address an area of interest to our tweens through games, discussion, activities and art—any creative way to access scripture that is important to their understanding of the world. We then enjoy dinner and dessert in the Celtic Cross Room, where we like to focus on a mission initiative or upcoming event. Then we run, quite literally, to the gym, where we finish with games such as Scatterball, Nine Square, Gaga, etc. and sometimes special contests. IT. IS. SO. MUCH. FUN.
When? Wednesdays 5:30 – 7:15 pm / $5 meal fee for drop ins. We also do field trips and service projects!
5:15-5:30 Sign-in @ Gym
5:35-6:10 Ice Breakers, MINIstry and Discussion @ Teen Room
6:10-6:40 Dinner and Dessert, Minute for Mission, Music @ Celtic Cross Room
6:45-7:15 GAMES!!!!!! @ Gym
Where? Drop off and pick up can be done at the “loop” (the alley behind Andrews Hall where the Gym double doors are), or by entering the main doors of Andrews Hall on Mechanics Street and proceeding down the staircase to the gym.
Why? We believe that learning about God through fun activities aimed at relationship building will create a solid foundation for a life long journey in Christ. Also, to quote the wisdom of Dr. Seuss, “these things are fun and fun is good.”
Registration - Registration begins in August, but you can register any time! You may Register Online or pick up forms in the church office.
Fees - The cost of the program is $60 per semester, $110 for the year when paid in full, or $5 at the door. This fee covers all dinners, recreation, programs and supplies. Scholarships are available. Pay Online Here
“Jesus said ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” (Matthew 19:14)
The Christian Education Committee provides a Buddy Program for students who need assistance in the classroom and beyond. Our mission is to facilitate inclusion inside the life of the church for the individual with additional needs and for their family. Students who may benefit from accommodations will be assigned a buddy while remaining in the same classroom as their peers. Buddies will also be available during worship. If this ministry is something you would like to learn more about, or if you think your child could benefit from it, please contact the church office 215-348-3531. If you are interested in volunteering to serve as a Buddy one Sunday a month, please contact the church office.
